Tutorial: What do I do if I have a Cloud for an Avatar?
Recently many students have said that they have logged in and their avatar is a cloud. Usually this means that their "shape" has been taken away. There are three things to try.
1. Right Click on your avatar and choose, Appearance. Sometimes that refreshes the avatar
2. Right Click on your avatar and find the "Refresh" option in the Pie Menu. You may have to go to "Tools" first.
3. Replace your outfit. Hopefully you have a starter outfit that you have created. You can go to your inventory ----> Find a Clothing outfit ----> Right Click on the Outfit Folder ----> Choose Replace outfit. That should reset everything for you.
Here is a tutorial below to help you with all three options.

The Invention Convention Comes to Town
Today I was in-world and found students busily building! Over the past year, our Welcome Center on Theta Island has been a wonderful shopping center.... without anything to look at or buy.
That all changed when Professor Howard decided to have her students create inventions to sell within the stores. And.... viola! There is building, inventing, and creativity on display for all avatars to see!
Way to go students and teachers in Professor Howard's class.

Update!
Lots has been going on here at the Islands. I just noticed we had some students busily working at the Understanding the Holocaust Project area. Here is the class working on the Reflection Candle assignment.
Also, we are in high gear trying to get our Heir of the King Island ready! So much to do, but so much fun preparing!

New Arrivals! Sts. Peter and Paul School
We had more new avatars over the past few days and they were quick learners and VERY excited to work through the program. Special thanks to Professor Pallante for bringing them in world. Of all the classes, they were the most excited about changing appearance and learning to build. I gave them the rules for appropriate dress though so they are ready for role play and learning. See below for some of their great comments and some of their pictures!
Some of the student comments:
I think this is a great way for us to learn about Anne Frank. I look forward to playing more.- Matthew

Professor Illuminati and Professor Pallante,
I am really enjoying this project. That part where you can customize yourself and be a little unique is my favorite part. You don’t exactly blend in with all the other people. I also like that you can build stuff, be virtual friends with people, and IM people.
from,
Jane SSPP1
This project is very enjoyable and educational. It's fun to become familiar with the different things you can do in this world. I also like how you can change the people around and make your avatar look different. I’m excited for the future events!- Katie

| Student created bed: First day! |
Well, we have had avatars from Forestville, New York in-world the last two days, and I have been amazed at how quickly they have adapted to the environment. One of the most amazing aspects of this is that several students have become avid builders already! See the creations they have started already.
