Let the Architecture Begin
Avatars from Grand Island have been getting ready for a new project. They have been learning about the principles of architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright! Their teacher, Professor Howard created a museum that tells about Frank Lloyd Wright and his Prairie Style Architecture. Students will be using those principles of design to create their own works. They are on their way! Here are some screen shots of their island and some of their beginning works.

More Student Building
Today I visited with students from two different schools and found some real creativity and advanced building skills.
Zack from Southtowns Catholic created a bed that looked comfortable and stylish. It also was well placed in a treehouse in at the Island of Chargers.
Harinder from Grand Island put a lot of energy into this fantastic house. Colorful and bright, this has lots of charm and function.

Student Building
It is always such fun to go in-world and see student avatars building. Today I came across Nicole SSPP creating a Teddy Bear. She claimed this was her first try at it and if that's so, which I have no reason to doubt her, it is an amazing first effort.
To see students take risks and be creative within the building process is so inspiring. Great work Nicole!

Level 1 Builders Badge
As I have mentioned before, there are some very talented builders here on the Islands of Enlightenment. Since I believe building here is a wonderful skill to learn that has lots of "Real World" possibilities attached to it I have decided to create a badging system for the builders here. When you have done a creation that seems realistic/ artistic and takes a some time to build I will being awarding builders badges. Our first winners are:
Nicholas Fcsh
Matthew Fcsh
Charlie Fcsh
Kyle Fcsh
And
Paul SCSZ
Great work Avatars. Please see Professor Illuminati in-world to receive your badge you have earned.

Science!
Over the past few days there has been some new additions.
Our Beta Island has had some wonderful new exhibits and interactives courtesy of Science avatar, Professor Miktuk. Please stop by and learn about hurricanes, the planets, science apps, and much much more!
If you see Professor Miktuk in-world, don't be afraid to say hello and ask her about almost any science topic. She is an encyclopedia of information.

| Student created bed: First day! |
Well, we have had avatars from Forestville, New York in-world the last two days, and I have been amazed at how quickly they have adapted to the environment. One of the most amazing aspects of this is that several students have become avid builders already! See the creations they have started already.
